





After hearing that a new Haruka ending was in the works, I told myself I wouldn’t watch it. Besides, I’d already trudged through the insanity that was season one, and I actually liked the ending as it was. Mitsuki was weepy, pathetic, and selfish. Takayuki was a wishy-washy excuse for a human being who couldn’t decide whether he wanted to live in the past or the future. In the end, I felt as if the finale summed everything up well, with the two pathetic people ending up together in what I hoped would be a fitting miserable union. Meanwhile, Haruka proved to be the true victor, splitting ways with Takayuki (he would be dead weight, anyway), aiming towards her goals and becoming a picture book authoress.
But then when the OVA came out, against my better judgment, I threw myself into the Kimi ga Nozomu angst fest again.
